Comparison between VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution (VRAS) and computer-navigated Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA)

This single-center study compared the VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution (VRAS) with computer-navigated Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) in 20 procedures performed by the same surgeon using the same implant system.

OR workflow analysis showed that VRAS is time-neutral compared to navigation, with comparable total operating room times. At the same time, surgeon workload assessments (NASA TLX) demonstrated significantly lower mental and physical demand, reduced effort and frustration, and improved perceived performance when using VRAS.
